Governor Gurmeet Singh attends program at Kanha Shanti Vanam, pays tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on 350th martyrdom year

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) today participated in a program organized at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Hyderabad. The event was held to mark the 350th martyrdom year of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the birth anniversaries of Shri Ram Chandra (Babuji) Maharaj and Sant Tukdoji Maharaj. Former President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Telangana Governor Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla, Revered Kamlesh D Patel (Daaji), saints, intellectuals, and seekers from India and abroad were present at the program.

Sharing his experience, the Governor said that meditating here gave him a unique feeling. He said that Kanha Shanti Vanam is not just an ashram, but a global center of spiritual consciousness, where the message of unity of humanity is being spread through sadhana, service, and dedication.

He delivered an address on the topic “One Humanity, One Heart: Teachings of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.” Remembering the life and sacrifice of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Governor said that his sacrifice is the supreme example of humanity, religious freedom, and steadfastness to truth. He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji proved by sacrificing his life that true religion is one that stands to protect the religion of others as well.

The Governor said that the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is not just a historical event, but a living inspiration for today’s times. In the current global scenario, when the world is facing challenges like intolerance and division, his teachings show the path of peace, tolerance, and humanity.

Calling upon the youth, the Governor said that they should make their lives meaningful by adopting the path of meditation, self-reflection, and service. He said that in the digital age, meditation not only increases concentration but also helps in personality and character building.
