Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on “Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural)” to be Held at Chakrata from 21 to 23 July

– The Central Bureau of Communication, Dehradun will organise a photo exhibition, public awareness campaigns, competitions, a free medical camp and cultural programmes.

– Detailed information on the Central Government’s welfare schemes and rural development initiatives will be provided.

– Local folk artists will showcase the rich cultural heritage of Jaunsar.

Dehradun, 20 July 2026: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Dehradun, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, will organise a three-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on the theme “Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural)” from 21 to 23 July 2026 at Children’s Park, Chakrata. The programme aims to create awareness among the public about the Central Government’s welfare schemes, rural development and livelihood initiatives while encouraging people’s participation in the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

Addressing a press conference in Chakrata on Monday, Anil Dutt Sharma, Programme Officer, Central Bureau of Communication, Dehradun, said that an attractive photo exhibition will provide detailed information on “Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural)” and various welfare schemes of the Central Government. The exhibition will also showcase the developmental journey of Viksit Bharat, major achievements and the positive changes brought about in the lives of citizens.

As part of the programme, special public awareness activities will be organised under the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’. Youth, students and the general public will be sensitised about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraged to contribute towards building a drug-free society. Various competitions will also be organised for students and the general public. Informational stalls related to various schemes of the Central and State Governments will be set up, where experts will provide guidance and information. A free medical camp for the public will also be organised at the venue.

The programme will also offer a glimpse of the rich cultural traditions of the Jaunsar region. Local artists will present vibrant folk songs and folk dances, introducing visitors to the area’s unique cultural heritage.

Programme Officer Anil Dutt Sharma has appealed to citizens, students and youth of the region to participate in large numbers in the programme, which will be held from 21 to 23 July 2026, daily from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Children’s Park, Chakrata, and learn more about the Central Government’s welfare schemes while joining the collective resolve for a Viksit Bharat.
