Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the ‘Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar’ programme operated by the state government has emerged as a powerful example of good governance, sensitive administration and public service in the state. Under this programme, which started 23 days ago on December 17, a total of more than 300 camps have been organised so far in all 13 districts of Uttarakhand, the objective of which is to take governance directly to the doorsteps of the people and ensure quick, transparent and effective solutions to the problems of the common man.
A direct dialogue has been established between the administration and the citizens through these camps, which has solved long-pending cases and further strengthened the public’s trust in the government. In the camps organised so far, 1,97,522 citizens participated and placed their problems, suggestions and needs before the concerned officials.
During the programme, 22,645 complaints were received from the general public, out of which more than 16,000 complaints have been resolved on the spot or within the stipulated time limit, while action is in progress on the remaining complaints as per rules. These figures reflect the promptness, accountability and positive change in the work culture of the state government.
In addition, 31,070 applications were received for various certificates in the camps, providing relief to citizens from unnecessary visits to offices. At the same time, 1,11,326 individuals were directly benefited from various public welfare schemes of the state government, giving new momentum to efforts related to social security, economic assistance and livelihood.
As per the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, this programme is not limited to grievance redressal alone but is becoming an effective platform for connecting eligible beneficiaries with schemes, simplifying administrative processes, ensuring time-bound services and strengthening good governance at the grassroots level.
The state government is committed to continuing and expanding this campaign extensively so that direct access to government schemes and services can be ensured for every citizen of the state and the transparent, accountable and people-centric governance system in Uttarakhand can be further strengthened.
