International Yoga Day State-Level Celebration to be Held in Bhararisain on June 21
Chief Minister to Join Alongside Ambassadors from 10 Countries; Over 1,000 Participants Expected
This year, the state-level celebration of the International Day of Yoga will be held at the Bhararisain Vidhan Sabha Complex, located in Chamoli district, on June 21. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will participate in the event, along with ambassadors from 10 countries.
According to Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande, Director of Ayurvedic and Unani Services, like every year, International Yoga Day will be celebrated on a large scale across Uttarakhand. As part of this, the main state-level program is being organized at Bhararisain. All distinguished guests, including the Chief Minister and the foreign ambassadors, are expected to arrive in Bhararisain by the afternoon of June 20.
More than 1,000 participants will take part in this flagship event. Given the scale of the program, extensive preparations are already underway. Simultaneously, the 11th International Day of Yoga will be celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the state.
“India has given the world the mantra of health and well-being through yoga. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji took the initiative to celebrate June 21 as International Yoga Day to take this message to a global level. In continuation of this, the 11th International Yoga Day will be celebrated as the state-level event in Bhararisain.
