The meeting focused on reviewing the overall security situation along the international borders of Uttarakhand adjoining Nepal.

The Chief Minister directed officials to launch intensive checking campaigns along the Nepal border and to keep a close watch on the activities of any anti-social or disruptive elements. He emphasized that continuous monitoring of social media should also be ensured so that any kind of rumor, misleading information, or provocative content can be acted upon promptly. He instructed the district administration to maintain constant coordination and communication with central security agencies and the SSB. He further directed that surveillance systems be strengthened through collective efforts involving local villagers, village committees in border areas, police personnel, and forest department officials.

The Chief Minister also stated that all entry points near the border must be regularly monitored, and special vigilance should be exercised over cross-border movement. He instructed that all security-related guidelines issued by the Government of India be strictly followed and also ordered the deployment of additional security forces wherever necessary.

During the meeting, in-depth discussions were held on various aspects including security challenges in the border areas, community participation, strengthening of the intelligence network, and coordination with central agencies.

Present in this high-level meeting were the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Principal Secretary (Home), ADG Law & Order, ADG Intelligence, Kumaon Commissioner, Inspector General of Police for Kumaon Region, as well as the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police of Champawat, Pithoragarh, and Udham Singh Nagar districts, along with officials from the Sashastra Seema Bal.
