The Chief Minister has clearly instructed officials to identify and take strict action against fake sadhus and fraudsters—especially those targeting women—who are exploiting religious attire to deceive the public. This directive comes at a critical time when millions of devotees are expected to arrive in Haridwar and surrounding regions during the Kanwar Yatra. During such times, some impostors disguise themselves in religious robes to cheat innocent people, thereby hurting religious sentiments. CM Dhami stated, *“Just as the demon Kaalnemi in the Treta Yuga disguised himself as a sage to mislead others, today too, many such ‘Kaalnemis’ exist in society. These impostors will be exposed and dealt with harshly.”*

He further clarified that any individual—regardless of their religion or sect—who misuses religious attire to play with people’s emotions will face the strictest legal consequences.
